Glass Candy and Mr. J

Years ago I knew a magnificent man of God, Mr. J.  Mr. J was patient, kind, loving and just a wonderful man.  He taught me many things like how to shell pecans, how to relax in a hammock, and how to garden.  He even gave me a piece of his land for several years in a row as my own garden when I was 10-13 years old.

Grape!

I can just imagine him with his wife in heaven, sitting in their old woven chairs, under the shade, right beside God’s garden with their hoes propped up right beside them.  Ah memories.  To say that this man impacted my life is an understatement. Continue reading

Knitting Again

I do hope that you have had a wonderful Christmas! One of the presents I made my daughter was a pretty knitted scarf.

Ear Bud Pouch

Do ya’ll pin?  I’m so addicted to Pinterest! So many awesome things to find and categorize and PIN!  My hubby has an earbud keychain holder on his “want” list at Amazon.  I saw it and remembered a pin I had  – so I had to try it!
Made Mikey a keychain pouch for his earbuds :)
I used the tutorial found on Dog Under My Desk (cute blog name huh!)  It’s a great tutorial, very clearly written.  I knew Mikey wanted something small.  It looks like the one from the tutorial finished at about a 4 inch circle.  I reduced her pattern to 75% so that it finished at a 2 3/4 in circle… PERFECT size.  Earbuds still fit in it and its about the size of a canned Diet Dr. Pepper.

And I must admit – that space invader fabric is awesome.  And it’s blue on the inside – his fave color :)   I honestly almost wanna keep it, but think I’ll make me one later.  They are quick to make!

Will be posting to Made By You Monday!
