About

This site contains the thoughts, musings, and oftentimes craziness that is me.  I’m Kandra Young – married for youth, not for money, which is quite apparent.  Though I think I won in the end…  I mean, I get to be young no matter my age.  Good thing too – as I refuse to grow up!

I am in love with God and all the grace He has bestowed on me leaves me speechless and in awe – Amazing Grace.. how sweet it truly is!  I am a Jesus Freak and love Christian music – contemporary to the hard rock – yeah I’m hard core like that.

I have been married since 1994, the year I graduated.  Quite young to get married, but so thankful God put Michael in my life when he did.  I have two kids that are totally awesome – seriously people don’t use “totally” and “awesome” together anymore like that should.   We are uber geeks around here – and we like it that way.  We love to game, build/program computers, read/watch science fiction, love comic book movies and in general all geeky stuff.  Dr. Who, Joss Whedon, and Big Bang Theory make us smile.  Thinkgeek is an awesome site… just saying.

I love watching Jr. High and High School Football… especially if one of my kids is playing.  I can be random and loud and crazy and creative – yet I switch to my analytical side and like to plan things out.  Most of all, I am me – crazy, mixed up, memory of a goldfish – me.

This site is all about the things I’m interested in like quilting and embroidery, God and the Bible Verses that speak to me will show up here, as will ramblings of a proud mom and someone losing weight (as of right now forty pounds gone!).  It’s a place for my fingers to just keep typing this rambling nonsense.  It’s a release… but most of all I hope that in some weird odd way, that you’ll find inspiration here – from walking with God, to sewing a purse, to trying a new recipe.  That’s what this site is all about.

    Hey Kandra!
Do you still have the computer files you made your sister’s iron-on onsies with? We are doing a iron on party for ginger and she liked the ones you had. If you do can you email them to me at the above address?

    Thanks! Val
PS lets get to talking about a site. :)

  2. Hi Kandra, just found you via Kaleidoscope QAL on Flickr. Lovely to read about your faith. I’m a devoted Christian too, and feel that teaching P&Q is sharing & blessing others with the gifts God has given me. I’m convinced that something spiritual happens when we use the creativity we’ve been given by our creative Father. Look forward to seeing your makes progress, Judith xo

Thanks Helen! I’d love to visit Australia one day – honestly I’d love to LIVE in New Zealand :) Don’t know why, but it’s just the place I think of when I answer the question – if you won the lottery what would you do? #1 would be to donate to some charities #2 would be to get out of debt #3 would be to move to New Zealand. LOL :D

I’d love to see some pics of your finished ninjas! I have a flickr group if you’d like to upload some pics there :D
