October and November Bitty Blocks

I’m part of a Bitty Block Bee on Flickr and I totally got behind!  These blocks usually measure 3.5 inches square and are themed by month.  Blocks can be pieced, appliqued or embroidered.  I tend to applique or embroider mine.

Being behind is no fun at all, so I was glad when I was able to spend some time catching up.  I got bit by the embroidery bug and was able to crank out 4 bitty blocks over the last two days.  I love embroidery and it has been a while since I’ve done any…

Rick’s October theme was “Hey, Cowboy!”

So I stitched up these two blocks for him.  These come from patterns from Sublime Stitching.  The letter is her tattoo alphabet and the other is from a cowboy set. I was thinking of doing a opossum, but the armadillo was in the cowboy set and I thought he was cute… well for an armadillo…

Kathy’s November theme was “Sewing Room”

I had a hard time coming up with an idea for this as a lot of the ones I thought of had been done (very well I might add) by others in our group.  Finally I decided on a seam ripper and a darning foot, two objects I use a lot when I sew.

Darning sewing foot bitty for Kathy :)

Getting closer to being caught up! YAY!
