Sew Wonderful Sunday

I’ve had a great day today!  This morning I dropped my oldest off at church at 6ish – he’s off to camp.  In the time between getting home and leaving for church, I finished up this little quiltie that started with me just wanting to try hexies.

It’s one inch hexies, hand pieced and machine quilted.  I love how it turned out!  The hexies were so fun to do and I plan on giving1/2 inch ones a try next.

Church was great!  Both messages in “big church” and student ministry were amazing, encouraging, and uplifting.  Then this afternoon I had lunch with Jenni and some of our girls.  Is there anything better than salsa, cheese dip, chips, and talking about our awesome God with some of your favorite people?

Came home and watched My Fair Lady with my  beautiful daughter, took a nap,and then sewed up a couple of blocks for the SewBeeWonky flickr group.

I love the color scheme of these blocks… and the great fabrics Jen sent to us.
