Crafting through the Storm…

So what do you do on snow days?  Do you make snow ice cream?  Do you drink hot chocolate and watch the snow fall?  Do you go outside and build a snowman?  Do you go sledding?  Do you build a fort and terrorize the kids with snowballs?  I spent time creating and it was sooooo nice!

We were invited over to a friends house to hang out.  I think it was primarily Kacie who was invited, as it was her boyfriend’s house.  But his mom and me both like to craft.  She loves to scrap book and well I’ve tried just about every craft out there.  I was all set to start sewing when we got the call and they asked us over.  So, I grabbed a 3 drawer craft container, stuffed it full of craft supplies, bundled up and they picked us up.  They have a huge suburban and Clint drove really well on this crazy stuff.

So Jennifer and I, we sat around, talked and created!  She was making scrapbook pages and I produced some hair accessories.  I made all of these today!

After the kids watched a couple of scary movies (why do they like them so?) and Shawn visited a friend that lives close to them, we headed home.  It was great spending time together and I enjoyed every minute.

When I got home though – I just had to start on my DQS10 quilt…so I made the itty bitty tiny trees!

We were snowed in for a week in November and I just relaxed, watched tv, worried in case we ran out of oil and logs and milk and bread and sewed – I left the kids to go out and play snowballs, I’m too old for getting cold! Loving your DQS BTW!
