Make and Fill a Purse Swap

I have so much to share – and just haven’t taken the time to update this blog and show you the projects! But I have been crafting away – promise!

I think part of the reason I haven’t updated is because I haven’t had any new patterns to share. I have a ton in my head, but just haven’t taken the time to sketch them out and put them in a “shareable” format. And it just boggles my mind that there are people out there that like my patterns enough to stitch them – let alone to even read this sporatic craft blog when there are no freebies present!

Today I’m going to share the fantastic Make & Fill a Purse Swap that I participated in. My partner loves the colors of maroon, gold and green and I had the perfect material in my stash for her.

She wanted a medium sized bag and this is what I came up with. The flower is actually attached to a button so she can place it wherever she likes.  I used a pattern from Lola Again.

I also made her a make-up bag, cell phone case, zippered pouch, tissue holder, wallet, cute pens, and a personalized note pad.

Then I included some of her fave snacks! There are some goldfish, snickers and reese cups. I also sent her the fabric scraps so she can make more accessories as she’d like.

My partner seemed to really enjoy her swap package. But….

Look at what she made me! (And thanks to Kacie for modeling that bag – she wants me to make her one to use as a school book bag).

I’m telling you I was so ecstatic to get this package. I got it this past Wednesday when I was home sick from work. It really cheered up my day!

I got the fabulous bag – she used an Amy Butler Birdie Sling pattern.   I love this pattern – so big… and I love big purses!

Then she made me all of these awesome goodies to use in it. Even thought of my diabetic needs by making me a custom glucometer holder!

And then my snacks were healthier than those I sent her with drink mixes, pistachios and popcorn. She also sent along some permanent markers to feed my obsession (office supplies, why oh why do I love you so?)

I had so much fun in this swap! Thank you JennyLeigh! It was so much fun swapping with you!

Keep Kraftin’
