Sew Ready for School!

Ok, ok… corny title…

Kacie is learning to sew.

Today she worked on a pillowcase.

She had a little help from me.

But mostly she did it all by herself!

I think she did great and we’re even going to buy her a brand new pillow…

For her new pillowcase!

That project spurred an interest in sewing school supplies, so we found this handy little tutorial from Kirin Notebook for a reversible notebook holder. Kacie’s making one her own, but I finished one up for my precious and adorable niece Katie.  Isn’t she just too cute for words!

Well, her Aunt KK is going to be mailing this little cover off for her soon.

And did I mention it was reversible? :)

I embroidered her name on both sides.

I hope Katie likes it as much as I enjoyed making it for her!

Keep Kraftin’!

  1. I love the book covers, this would help me keep things straight at work, I will have to make some.

  2. A pillowcase is a great first project. I recommend pajama pants next. So easy and fun to wear.

Thanks so much for the notebook cover link! I’m going to make a few.
