Cross Stitch for Baby Giveaway!

Winner Announced!

Congratulations Emily!!!

********************

One of my earlier jobs, when my dear sweet daughter Kacie was a wee little one, I worked for a company named Leisure Arts.  I’m sure that many of you know of the company.  The GREATEST perk of that job was that we got copies of kits and books hot off the press.  I’ve gotten rid of mine by giving away to my friends and family and keeping some for my own collection.  However… my sister in law worked there too!  She passed most of hers on to her mom (my mother-in-law).

When the mom-in-law came up this past weekend for my son’s birthday, she brought with her lots of goodies.  Preprinted cross stitch bibs and blankets, cross stitch kits, booklets for cross stitching as well as for crochet and knitting.  She also brought up alot of DMC floss she had – YAY!  I’ll use the floss for embroidery, but I’m not into cross stitching… I’m too lazy to count! LOL  So, with her generosity I felt the need to bless others!  So here’s another giveaway!

(As a side note I did want to let everyone know that my daughter now has her own crafty blog.  I’m really proud of her – she’s doing it all by herself and is rocking it!  Check her out at Kacie’s Korner, she’s had some great ideas!)

The prize package is baby related in honor of my soon to be neice or nephew!  Here’s what’s up for grabs:

Rules of the Game:

For one entry: Comment and tell me what you would do with the goodies if you won.  Would you make it for a neice or nephew?  Do you have someone in mind that would love to stitch these up?

For a second entry: Tell others about the giveaway, either through your own blog or  twitter!  Then comment here and let me know that you let other’s in on the giveaway!

We’ll randomly select the winner Wednesday, June 24th around 6pm CST.    This is open to international entries too!

That’s it.   Good luck!

Keep Kraftin’

Hmm…if I won, I would probably give the kits to my aunt to make for my cousin/her niece who is having a baby in August (nursery is Pooh-themed), because I just don’t devote any time to cross-stitch anymore (all about the quilts & bags). If you followed that, you did better than I did just thinking about it ;)

I love that alphabet! So sweet! I would make the pooh bib for my nephew, he’s 6 months and his nursery is done up in winnie and friends. I would try to make the quilt for my own baby, he’s almost 2 – but no promises! As the third child he’s sort of gotten the short end of the stick!

  3. Nova says:

We have a couple of babies this would come in handy for.

  4. Deb says:

Oh how sweet! One of my good friends decided to try for number 3 and is now pregnant. Only problem is, she’s given away most of her baby stuff (#2 is 4yo)! So, this woug be good for her new baby when he/she arrives around Christmas time.

    Hi

I would love to win the cross stitch kit. I remember how I made my first cross-stitch wall piece. I was travelling in a crowded bus in India..I was in my final year in college and loved to embroider. I saw another girl my age with this beautiful crossstitch book in hand. I did not know her and vice versa…but we got talking and I asked her if I could have the book for a couple of days…she was hesitant at first…but I guess, we are all very trusting at that age..so she gave the book for 2 days. I sat all through the night and finished my wall piece and gave it back to her in 2 days time. I had to take the same bus at the same time to meet her.

Now I am here in the US and would love cross stitch for my little one who is 4 yrs old.

  14. Kristin says:

I would love to win! My boss just found out she is going to have a baby and I don’t have much time to get something cute made for her so that bib would be perfect to start her out while I finish the rest of the projects.

  16. I have friends that are having babies or that already have newborns that I would give the finished product to. If that did not work out, my company has an annual United Way auction, with all proceeds going to United Way. I would donate the results for the auction.
