May and June are full of birthdays for my family and friends. My son’s birthday was Friday and my husband’s is today. No crafty items were made for their birthdays. I find it really hard to craft for the techy men in my life.
My mom’s birthday was last month. I made her a buttercup purse and I think it turned out great.

I can definately tell that I’m improving my sewing skills. This was the first time I had made pleats and found them fun and interesting to do. I really loved the structure of the purse. I’m going to make another one for myself, but I think I’m going to enlarge the pattern.
I have a friend who celebrated her 40th birthday. I loved the watercolor paintings I did a few weeks ago and just crave to do more and more, so I made one of her and her daughter.

She seemed to really like it and I’m ready to do more. I’m thinking I’ll do one of my oldest neice, Katie, soon. I also have plans for a vector acrylic painting of Darth Vader in the works… will be fun!
My neice, Leah, finally cooperated by taking some pics in the dresses I had made for her birthday in May. I love the camo one and the bow I made for her, though I think all of them came out cute
I’m still working on my Red Barn Co. quilt, falling more and more behind. While I’d love to dedicate most of my time to family and crafts – it’s not happening for me in June and July. I’m at the end of my stint as a college student (7/31 last day!), so I have been concentrating on school alot lately. However, I’m still doing my traveling tea towel swap, have some patterns I need to scan and get ready to post, and even have alot of cross-stitch kits, books and crochet books to give away soon… so keep stopping by
Keep Kraftin’

Love the purse!! And your niece is cute in her new dresses!
I think I meant to say your niece looks cute in all of her new dresses. My mom just got her sewing machine tuned up. I have to wait until I don’t have to elevate my foot anymore before I get to try it out but I can’t wait to make something!
I really like the purse.Leah looks so cute in all the new dresses!
the water color is cool too.
