I can’t believe it’s been about two weeks since I last posted! We’ve been very busy here – in case you haven’t heard for Mother’s day I got a craft room! So we’ve been busy painting, tiling, organizing, etc and I just haven’t had time to post. I promise to post pics of my awesome new room soon, but I want to finish it first.
My daughter Kacie made time to craft a bit on the few sunny days we’ve had the last 14 days. She took pictures along the way so she could have her very first tutorial on our site! So keep reading if you want to make one of these awesomely cool bracelets!
Gather Your Supplies:
First you need to get these great UV beads from SteveSpangler
They are clear/whitish when they aren’t exposed to UV rays

They change color when exposed! The more exposure the brighter, so on cloudy days they are paler and on sunny days very bright!

You’ll also need scissors, elastic, tape and a wrist.

Steps to take:
1. Go outside on a Sunny day so the beads will change color and you’ll know what pattern/color you are making. Or do it inside and let it be a surprise!
2. Measure around your wrist 1 1.2 times. Cut your elastic to this size.
3. Tape one end of your elastic to the table.

4. Fill with beads, leaving about a 1/2 inch on both ends of elastic as shown.

5. Tie a double knot with the ends of the elastic.

6. Tuck the elastic ends into the beads.

7. Put your bracelet on.

8. Show off your bracelet and make more to give to friends!

If you decide to make some, let us know and upload to our flickr group! We’d love to see your pics!
