WARNING: This post is picture intensive.
Drum Rollllllll Please!
Yes – this is THE post you’ve been waiting for… the unveiling of my new craft room!!! It actually became a multipurpose room with crafting on one side and computer geekiness on the other. This works for me since I’m a computer geek
First we’ll have to show you the in progress pics… and just to warn you – the whole room is still “in progress” but I just couldn’t wait any longer… LOL
This is the view from the doorway – we had already pulled up the carpet.
This is the view from the south corner – again with no carpet (I think that’s Shawn pulling up the last remnants from the closet area.)

This is where we started painting – I love this color blue!

Shawn’s working hard to pry up the tack strips left from the carpet so we can lay tile.
Tile’s layed down! YAY!
After we moved back in:

View from the door. The 1/2 on the left is the computer/desk area. The 1/2 on the right is the craft area. The chest under the window is Kacie’s new reading seat. The fabric used to make the valance is the inspiration fabric for the room. I love it!

View from the closet showing the lovely counter top and new magnifying lamp.

View from my computer desk showing most of the crafty side.

I’m loving these container/drawers! They have a wooden top so you have more work space, plus they are on rollers, which is very handy! The drawers are really big too! This is where I have yarn, needles, paints, embroidery supplies, cardmaking supplies like punches and stamps, and foamies. On top of the middle is a project Kacie’s working on.

Here’s Kacie where she had pulled out one of those drawer containers to work on her project. She’s trying color tinting with crayons for an embroidered pillow she wanted to make for the room.
The shelf was a putty/grey color, but we painted it orange. I love how the lime and orange pop on the blue wall. Lots of containers full of crafty goodness, plus books, tools, and my projector.

This is the left side of the closet. Our laser printer was put here on a cart that holds all our paper from construction paper to plain to cardstock. Very handy!

This is all my fabric – I’m trying to convince Mike that I need more – it’s just a small, lonely stash… LOL

This is my sewing table. It helps seperate the sides of craft vs. computer. I love it – it’s just the right size. Plus it has fold out arms to make it longer if needed.

Here’s the computer side – can you see Mike’s mess? LOL He’s been working on getting our servers going after the move. As you can see we have the media pc up and was watching Big Bang Theory at the time of the picture.

Up close and personal with the servers! I heart servers!

I made this pillow for Lexi today since it’s a hard floor. She loves it and is actually asleep on it right now as I type. She’s so cute!

Had to get a close up of Mike’s 1/4 of the room… He promises he’s gonna get it cleaned up. I won’t hold my breath too much. hehehe

And here’s my computer desk/area. On the desk you can see some drawings I’m doodling to make into embroidery patterns. This is where I sit right now.
I love my craft room. Actually the whole family is loving it. With it being so spacious the kids have been in here crafting or playing on a laptop. Mike’s been updating servers and I’ve been creating again.. feels sooooooo nice! I’m uber happy! I still need to paint the doorways, make pillows for the cedar chest and put up my white board behind my desk. We also want to get two more chairs with wheels.
Keep Kraftin’
