So I just finished my very first craft swap – and can I just say I’m addicted?!?!   I signed up at Craftster.org in a Valentine Tea Towel Embroidery swap – and I must say the end results were awesome!  The gallery is over here: Vday Swap 

Our goal was to embroider a tea towel for a our partner and then also send a small item along with it.  We got to talking via personal messages at craftster and she came up with the following for me.  I thought it was very personal – and love what I got! Here’s my mailbox surprise:

I love this poem – it’s hilarious from the geeky point of view And well – robots just rock!

The above wall hanging was very thoughtful.  ChaoticMinds is used as a family gamertag in many games, as well as we have the website chaoticminds.net (though nothing is there right now).  Mike’s game handle is Cre8nChaos and mine is Mindboggld.  Those have been our game names for about 14 years – way back in the AOL days. LOL  Our son is now SonOfChaos and our daughter is DramaMama.  The math equation beside the tree in the embroidered picture says ChaoticMinds: Cre8nChaos + Mindboggld = SonOfChaos & DramaMama. 

My partner really like elephants – so this is a pic of her towel that I made her.

 7/9 is her anniversary date, and the initials are hers and her hubby’s.

The small item I made for her was a needlebook – and it was so much fun!  I embroidered with beads and learned the blanket stitch! 

It has pockets when you open it up to put your scissors and floss, and closes with ribbon. 

I’ve had so much fun with the swap, that I’ve signed up for two more! LOL  At Craftster, there is a Big Bang Theory swap – I LOVE that show – actually everyone here in my house loves that show.   There was no way I could avoid this swap after being bitten by the swap bug AND loving BBT!

Also, Sew,Mama,Sew! is hosting a fat quarter swap – well I love fabric.. and can never have enough in a stash, so I thought this was be fun as well!  I’m participating twice here, so I’ll have to send out 7 fat quarters to 7 different people, but what fun will it be getting fabric in the mail??  Sew,Mama,Sew is blogging fat quarter projects all month too – so it’s perfect timing!

I’m still working on Renee’s bday present- even though yesterday was our bday! LOL  And I’ve yet to send Jen her present.. but I will! I PROMISE!   When I finish Renee’s gift, I’ll post
