Razorback Fabric Wreaths- Sibling Craftery’s Annual Crafting Weekend Part 2

For part 2 of the Sublime Sister’s Annual Crafting Weekend, we thought we’d show of these FAB fabric wreaths.  Being from Arkansas – we had to make the theme Razorbacks, but the general idea could be used with any fabric and ribbon.

To get started we chose some Razorback themed fabric and cut  them into 1″ x 7.5″  We had started with 1″x15″ but those were just too long, so we cut them in half. :)

Then take an old wire hanger and shape it into a circle.  WARNING:Do not try to shape it into a razorback – it will make some people laugh hysterically for a couple of hours.

Take your fabric strips and start tying them onto the wire hanger using knots.  We grouped the colors together, but you can do it in any pattern (or randomly for that matter) if ya wanna…

Keep tying knots!  This would be a great time to catch up on some tv shows or movies you’d like to watch.  It’s also a great way to get out of doing the dishes (“Can you do it hunny?  I’m trying to tie all these knots for Christmas presents…”  Ok – so it might NOT work.)

When you get it all the way around it should be full with no wire showing on the circle part.

Then we turned the hanger part of the hanger (geez-what do you call it?!?!)  toward itself so you make a nice loop on top.  Then take some coordinating ribbon and cover it and fabultize it! I totally just made that word up – but I like it!

Next hang your wreath on the wall and just sit back and admire!

Hope you enjoy (and we hope that the recipients of this gift love it).  We’ll be back to post even more crafts from our awesome weekend later :)
